Daniel Roncancio

Software QA Engineer at Outsight

Daniel Roncancio has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel is currently working as a Software QA Engineer at Outsight since May 2022. Previously, they worked at Renault Group from November 2017 to April 2022 as a Development, test & tuning Engineer for ADAS / Autonomous vehicle. Daniel'sresponsibilities included developing and testing control laws for new Renault vehicles, calibration of c-ACC system, and validation of ACC system with other components.

Daniel also had a stage at Groupe Renault from April 2017 to September 2017, where they worked on designing a target selection algorithm for autonomous vehicles. Daniel processed sensor data, generated vehicle trajectories, assessed interaction between vehicles, and implemented the algorithm for real-time execution.

Prior to that, they were a member of the Board of Students at Bureau Des Élèves ENSTA ParisTech from January 2016 to January 2017. Daniel'srole involved working with administration and international students, facilitating their integration into student life, representing them before the board of directors, and ensuring their well-being throughout their studies.

Daniel also had a research internship at Air Liquide France from May 2016 to July 2016, where they collaborated with the HarvestAI development team to automate the transportation of gas bottles using mobile robots. Daniel conducted testing and debugging of machine vision systems.

Furthermore, they worked as an IELTS Test Supervisor at OZI International from June 2014 to June 2015. In this role, they supervised the administration of English language exams and managed confidential information.

Daniel Roncancio has a strong educational background in the field of robotics and mechatronical engineering. Daniel obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where they studied from 2011 to 2017. During this time, they also pursued a Master's Degree in Robotics and Embedded Systems from ENSTA Paris, completing their studies from 2015 to 2017. In addition, they pursued another Master's Degree in Advanced Systems and Robotics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, studying from 2016 to 2017. Daniel also obtained a certification in Image Processing through an intensive course offered by Télecom ParisTech in November 2015.
