Kelsey Olive is the new Lead Case Manager for the Metamorphosis project. With a background in Social Work and experience in community mental health, she is dedicated to providing resources to the LGBTQ+ community and empowering them to advocate for their own needs.
Throughout her career and lived experience, Kelsey has noticed the barriers that LGBTQ+ individuals and other minority populations in Memphis face in accessing affirming mental health care and supports, and she strives to devote her career to ally with participants and the community to overcome those barriers.
Along with the team at the Youth Emergency Center (YEC), Kelsey will work with LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness to access emergency shelter and to begin to identify and work towards goals that will set them on the path of housing stability and community connectedness. Additionally, Kelsey will work to provide support, resources, and follow-up for participants in the Rapid Re-Housing Program as well as Youth Emergency Services (YES) while fostering and developing relationships with allies in Memphis to continue to grow opportunities for participants.
