Kelly Richmond Pope, CPA has been working in the accounting and finance industry for over 15 years. Kelly Richmond is currently an Instructor at Outlier.org, teaching Introduction to Financial Accounting. Kelly Richmond has also served as a Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor at DePaul University from 2006-2019. In 2019, they became the Co-Chief Executive Officer at Red Flag Mania, Inc. and in 2020, they became the Audit Committee Chair and Board Member at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. In 2022, they will become a Research Fellow at IMA | Institute of Management Accountants. In 2015, they were involved in the production of the documentary ALL THE QUEEN'S HORSES.
Kelly Richmond Pope, CPA has an extensive educational background. Kelly Richmond obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University between 1992 and 1996. Kelly Richmond then went on to earn their Masters of Accountancy from Virginia Tech, followed by their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Accounting from the same institution between 1996 and 2001. In addition to their educational qualifications, they have also been awarded the AICPA & CPA Practice Advisor's Most Powerful Women in Accounting Award in 2020, and is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.
