Jim Peraino is a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Outer Labs since January 2023. Prior to this role, Jim co-founded Spatio Metrics, serving as CTO and Principal Investigator, where research and development efforts led to a National Science Foundation SBIR award worth approximately $255,000 from November 2018 to January 2023. Jim has also lectured at Northeastern University in various architectural courses from July 2017 to April 2019 and served as an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University in fall 2017. Additional experience includes software engineering at GrowSquares and a design associate position at MASS Design Group. Jim's early career involved teaching and internships at prestigious institutions, including Harvard University Graduate School of Design and KVA matx. Jim holds advanced degrees in architecture and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, as well as a bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
