Herbert White has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as a correspondent for Our State Magazine since 1995, contributing articles that celebrate North Carolina. In addition, since August 1987, White has held the position of editor in chief at The Charlotte Post, where oversight of the reporting and photography staff includes story assignments and editing. Previous roles include reporter at Iredell County News from August 1986 to May 1987, where coverage focused on local news and sports, and reporter at Wilmington Star-News from October 1984 to April 1985, covering Brunswick County news and features. Herbert White holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Johnson C. Smith University and graduated from South Brunswick High School.
