Manjula Peiris is a Senior Backend Engineer at Ottimate since May 2023, with extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in cloud computing and backend systems. Previously, Manjula worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from December 2015 to April 2023, contributing to the EC2 Health Analytics team and playing a key role in the development of AWS Lambda and its re-architecture for multi-tenant workloads. Manjula's early career included research at IUPUI under Dr. James Hill, an internship at Microsoft where a performance anomaly detection tool was developed, and a Senior Software Engineer position at WSO2, which involved significant contributions to Apache web services projects. Manjula holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.
