Seana Shaka is a Bachelor Student Researcher at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since April 2022, and also serves as the Founder of uPub since December 2021. Previously, Seana held the position of Virtual Team Executive at Carleton University Women in Science and Engineering, focusing on social media marketing and organization from May 2021 to May 2022. Experience includes working as a Birth Center Aid at the Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre, where responsibilities involved supporting midwives during labor and liaising with emergency services from February 2021 to 2022. Seana has retail experience as a Sales Associate at Nike, where customer service and sales management were key duties from September 2019 to August 2021. Additionally, Seana co-hosted a show with Groupe Média TFO from June 2017 to May 2019, exploring various professions for youth. Seana's early experience includes an internship in Therapeutic Respiratory at Bank Respiratory Services. Currently pursuing a Combined Honours degree in Biology and Humanities at Carleton University, expected to graduate in May 2024.
