Ian Smith's work experience includes roles in various pharmaceutical companies. Ian started their career in 1993 as Worldwide Regulatory Compliance GMP Europe at SmithKline Beecham. Ian then worked at sanofi-aventis from 1998 to 2011, where they held the positions of Senior Director Global Quality Head for Lead Generation and Candidate Realization and QA GMP. Ian joined Sandoz in 2012 as Regional Head - Audit & Compliance for the Americas, and later moved to Novartis in 2016 as VP Head of Compliance. In 2018, they joined Lupin Global as Senior Vice President - Head of Global Compliance. Currently, they are serving as VP Head Global Quality OPDC at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.) since September 2020.
