Martin Johansson has a diverse work history spanning over three decades. Martin began their career as a Seaman Mechanical Engineer in various roles from 1990 to 1994. Martin then worked as a Manager R&D at Safe Conduct AB from 1997 to 2001, followed by a role as Project Manager at Stille AB from 2001 to 2002. Martin later became the Vice President of Research & Development at Stille AB for a year in 2002. From 2003 to 2007, Martin worked as a Senior Engineering Consultant at HotSwap. In 2007, they joined OstomyCure AS as the Chief Scientific Officer until 2013. Martin then ventured into entrepreneurship as the Owner of Extero AB Development for Humanity from 2014 to 2016. Martin joined Oticon Medical in 2013 as a Project Manager R&D and progressively took on roles such as Translational Research Manager from 2016 to 2020, Senior Translational Research Manager from 2020 to 2023, and currently holds the position of Senior Director R&D. Additionally, in 2010, Martin worked as a Researcher at the Department of Biomaterials at Sahlgrenska Academy at Gothenburg University.
Martin Johansson earned their Bachelor's degree in Marine Science/Merchant Marine Officer from Chalmers University of Technology in 1994. Martin then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution from 1994 to 2004. Martin continued their education at the Dept of Biomaterials, Institute of Clinical Sciences, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Medicine (Biomaterial science) from 2008 to 2018.
