Matthew Teller is an award-winning writer and journalist based in the UK with extensive experience in print, broadcast, and online media since 1994. Currently serving as a freelance author for Other Press and Profile Books, Teller's notable works include "Nine Quarters of Jerusalem: A New Biography of the Old City" and "Quite Alone: Journalism from the Middle East 2008-2019." In addition to their writing, Teller holds a freelance position as a journalist, documentary-maker, and broadcast producer for the BBC, with projects such as the arts documentaries "Hurricane Bells" and "Lines of Resistance." Previously, Teller worked as a travel editor for Rough Guides from 2000 to 2003 and holds a degree from the University of London.
