Michael Bethea has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Michael started their career as a Producer at WAFB TV in 1987. Michael then worked as a Marketing and Public Relations Specialist at the Medical Center of Baton Rouge from 1991 to 1993. Bethea went on to become the Director of Marketing at Columbia/HCA Dauterive Hospital from 1993 to 1995. Michael then took on the role of Vice President of Business Development at Columbia/HCA from 1995 to 1997. Bethea's next position was as the Marketing Director at HCA/Tulane University Hospital & Clinic from 1997 to 1999. Michael was responsible for all marketing functions, including strategic planning and budget management. Bethea then joined the American Cancer Society in 1999, where they held various positions, including Vice President for Communications and Marketing for the Mid-South Division, Vice President for all operations in the State of Louisiana, and Vice President for Health Initiatives for a six-state Division. Michael worked at the American Cancer Society until 2010. Lastly, Bethea became the CEO of Offshore Technical Compliance LLC in 2009, a position they still hold.
Michael Bethea attended Louisiana State University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
