Fei Rost is currently an Associate Medical Illustrator at Osso VR. Prior to that, they worked as a Medical Illustrator at Rochester Institute of Technology from September 2018 to May 2020. There, they created 3D models and 2D graphics of researchers' projects to be incorporated into papers, presentations, etc. and communicated directly with researchers and students to guarantee accuracy.
Before working in their field, Fei Rost held jobs at Safeway and Starbucks. At Safeway, they worked as a Starbucks Clerk from July 2017 to August 2017. There, they interacted with customers taking orders, recommending drinks, and promoting new menu items; made drinks to customers’ specifications and controlled register to complete sales; and managed kiosk cleanliness, organization, and product turnover. Fei Rost then worked as a Barista at Starbucks from November 2017 to September 2018. There, they again interacted with customers taking orders, recommending drinks, and promoting new menu items; made drinks to customers' specifications and controlled register to complete sales; maintained store cleanliness, organization, and product turnover; and was required to multitask calmly in quick-paced environment.
Fei Rost started their educational career by earning a BA in Fine and Studio Arts as well as Biology from the University of San Francisco. Fei then went on to earn an MFA in Medical Illustration/Medical Illustrator from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Fei Rost works with Mikaela Muersch - Associate Medical Illustrator, Stephen Robinson - Medical Illustrator, and Vondel Mahon - Associate Medical Illustrator. Fei Rost reports to Daniel Hermansen, Director of Medical Illustration.
