Steven Umbehocker has a long and varied work experience. Steven started their career in 1995 as a Software Engineer at Columbia Basin Research, School of Fisheries, University of Washington. There they developed cross-platform software applications in C/C++ for modeling downstream migration survival rates for salmon. In 1996, they moved to Design Intelligence as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they developed text layout enhancements and modules for the iPublish product. In 1998, they joined Symantec Software as a Technical Director/Advisory Engineer, where they led the development of the NetBackup Snapshot Client framework. In 2007, they became the Director of Engineering at Citrix Systems, where they architected and directed the StorageLink project. Finally, in 2009, they founded OSNEXUS Corporation, where they serve as the Founder and CEO. At OSNEXUS, they help organizations manage storage at scale and across sites to enable hybrid-cloud and hyperscale deployments.
Steven Umbehocker attended the University of Washington from 1991 to 1995, where they studied Mathematics and Computer Science.
