Thurein Thant has work experience in the field of diagnostics and life sciences. Thurein began their career in 2017 as a Year in Industry Student at Sharp Life Science (EU) Limited, where they worked until 2018. In 2019, they returned to Sharp Life Science (EU) Limited as a Student Researcher for a brief period. In 2020, Thurein joined Osler Diagnostics as a Research Assistant, and later transitioned to the role of Integration Scientist.

Thurein Thant attended Lingfield Notre Dame School from 2010 to 2015 but did not pursue a specific degree or field of study during that time. Following high school, Thurein went on to enroll at the University of Bath in 2015. From 2015 to 2020, Thurein pursued a degree in MSci(Hons) Natural Sciences with Professional Placement, focusing on the fields of Physics and Biology.
