Jamie King has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming and entertainment industry. They started their career at Rockstar Games, where they co-founded the company and served as the VP of Development. At Rockstar Games, Jamie negotiated licensing rights, produced console games, and managed development and publishing.
After leaving Rockstar Games, Jamie joined 4MM Games LLC as the Chief Creative Officer. They created and successfully marketed the rap music karaoke video game "Def Jam Rapstar" and managed the design and development of "Cement Factory," an online shooter game. Jamie also fostered partnerships with the National Dog Show, Purina, and NBC to create and publish "Dog Show Friends" for Facebook Gaming.
Following their time at 4MM Games LLC, Jamie worked at SA Studios Global as a Product Owner. They were responsible for launching and managing eMLS esports for Major League Soccer and served as the Head of Studio for The Gamer Agency, managing the Microsoft Esports and Gaming Studio. Jamie achieved significant foot traffic and digital views by producing and distributing original programming content.
In 2018, Jamie joined Engine Shop as the EVP and Head of Esports. In this role, they executed the sale of The Gamer Agency and SA Studios Gaming division to Engine Shop, doubled client base and revenue growth with sports properties and consumer brands, and transformed seasons into remote broadcasts following the COVID-19 pandemic. Jamie also designed and produced an Esports tournament for MLB's Home Run Derby VR.
From 2021 to 2023, Jamie worked at Solace Lifesciences, Inc. as the EVP Marketing. They joined the leadership team for NuCalm, a neuroscience platform, and were responsible for establishing global product strategy, sales goals, marketing targets, and overall customer experience. Jamie managed a cross-functional team and executed go-to-market strategies within budget and time constraints.
In 2023, Jamie had roles at OS Studios - A Project Worldwide Agency and Sporting Crypto as the EVP and Strategic Advisor and Mentor, respectively. They also worked at L+R as a Strategic Advisor and Mentor, where they were involved in UI/UX design for the Bond website and mobile app.
Lastly, in 2023, Jamie joined The Dread and Fear of Kings as the Strategy + Relationships role.
Jamie King obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Social Sciences for Industry from Kingston University, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, Jamie has obtained certifications in Competitive Analysis and Keyword Research, as well as SEO Link Building from Semrush in June 2022. However, it is unclear whether Jamie has completed the Keyword Research Exam as the obtained month and year information is missing.
