Gene Massey is an experienced Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon currently working at OrthoSC since September 2018. Prior to this role, Gene served as an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at Strand Orthopaedic Consultants from September 2012 to August 2018 and completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center from August 2011 to July 2012. Gene's medical training includes an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of South Carolina from July 2006 to June 2011 and medical education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where an MD in Medicine was obtained from 2002 to 2006, following a B.S. in Biology from the University of Louisville from 1998 to 2002.
