Evan Schroder is currently an Operating Room Assistant at OrthoNebraska, where responsibilities include facilitating patient movement and monitoring vital signs. As an undergraduate researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Evan has studied the stabilin-2 receptor in Dr. Edward Harris' lab. Teaching assistant roles in Biochemistry (BIOC 431 & 432) and Immunology (BIOS 443) involved holding office hours, grading assessments, and supporting communication with students. Additionally, Evan served as Vice President of Membership Development for SigEp Nebraska Alpha, focusing on the holistic growth of members, and led academic initiatives as Vice President of SigEp Learning Communities. Prior experiences include internships at the University of Nebraska Medical Center studying HIV-1 effects and working on drug delivery projects utilizing CRISPR-Cas9 technology. Evan is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pre-Medicine from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, having previously earned a high school diploma from Mount Michael Benedictine School.
