Matthew Shepard currently serves as a Summer Law Clerk at Orleans Public Defenders since May 2020, where responsibilities include assisting attorneys with legal research on key amendments, conducting witness interviews, and preparing legal documents for higher courts. Previously, Matthew interned at CARPLS in 2014, providing legal advice to low-income clients and conducting demographic research to support funding efforts. In 2012, Matthew interned under Dr. Paul Pasulka, focusing on psychological research related to memory function and personality assessments. Matthew holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis.
