Karen Rojas Zurita started their work experience in 2003 as a Networking Technical Support Coop at CEMEX, where they implemented a website for internal information sharing and provided support for IIS and user management. From 2005 to 2010, they worked as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst at 4th Source/Accredo Health Corporation, testing browser-based pharmacy system projects developed in Oracle PL/SQL forms and reports. Karen contributed to the delivery of an automated prescription dispensing system during this time. In 2014, they became a Quality Assurance Analyst at Medidelta Inc, where they tested a cancer screening system application developed in C++ and SQL database using Agile methodology. Karen created test case scenarios and ensured accurate information capture. Karen then joined Accreon in 2016 as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst, serving as a Test Lead for the New Brunswick Department of Health's Drug Information System. Karen created and executed test cases for pharmacy software integration and EMR using HL7 v2 and v3. In 2019, they became a Quality Assurance Specialist at The Peer group Inc., and in 2020, they transitioned into the role of Software Quality Assurance Analyst at PSD Citywide. Currently, they work as a Software Developer In Test at Orium (formerly Myplanet) since 2022.

Karen Rojas Zurita completed their education at Universidad Modelo from 1999 to 2004, earning a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. In addition, they obtained the ISTQB Foundation Level certification in January 2017 from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
