Ryan Shafer has a diverse work experience in user experience, design, and video editing. Ryan is currently working as a User Experience Lead at Oritain since November 2022. Previously, they served as the Head of Design at Showmax from July 2017 to January 2019. Before that, Ryan worked at Viacom for several roles, including Vice President of User Experience & Design for MTV, VH1, CMT, and LogoTV from October 2011 to March 2015. Ryan also held the positions of Design Director at MTV & VH1 Digital from September 2009 to October 2011, Art Director at LogoTV from April 2007 to September 2009, Senior Designer from June 2005 to April 2007, and Designer from December 2004 to May 2005. Prior to their time at Viacom, Ryan worked as a Designer & Video Editor at Kipany Productions from November 2001 to October 2004 and as a Designer & Video Editor at Harmonix Music Systems from June 1999 to September 2000.

Ryan Shafer attended the Rhode Island School of Design from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film, Animation, and Video.
