Alex Wagner Lavian has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

Starting in 2011, Alex interned at the United States Senate, where they handled constituent communications, performed legislative research, and coordinated special projects.

In 2012, they worked at Geometry Global as a Strategy & Planning Analyst. Alex collaborated with the General Manager and Executive Director of Strategic Planning to develop a global campaign for a technology product, gathering competitor and user data and overseeing the messaging strategy.

From 2013 to 2017, Alex worked at Deloitte, initially as a Business Analyst and later as a Consultant. They specialized in providing strategic consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, focused on identifying strategy and technology solutions to drive transformation and streamline business operations.

In 2017, Alex joined Mixpanel as a Product Marketing Manager, leading efforts to drive growth, adoption, engagement, and retention through data-driven insights and analytics.

They then worked at Uber, first as a Senior Product Marketing Manager and then as the Global Head of Product Marketing for Membership. In this role, Alex played a key role in shaping and executing product marketing strategies for Uber's membership program.

In 2022, Alex joined Spotify as the Global Head of Product Marketing for Spotify for Artists, responsible for promoting the platform to artists worldwide.

Alongside their employment, Alex also served as a Product Marketing Mentor at Sharebird, providing tips and insights to fellow product marketers.

Currently, Alex is working as the VP of Marketing at Origin, where they continue to contribute their expertise in marketing strategy and execution.

Alex Wagner Lavian attended Vanderbilt University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human and Organizational Development. They also studied at Stanford University in 2021, focusing on Building and Scaling Subscription Businesses. In addition, Alex participated in programs at the Danish Institute Study Abroad, concentrating on Communication and Media Studies, and Vanderbilt in Italy, with a focus on Art History, specifically Renaissance Art. They completed their secondary education at Highland Park High School.
