Melinda Moniz has a diverse work experience. Melinda started their career as a Senior Account Representative at SAFE Credit Union from July 2002 to March 2008. Melinda then worked at Schools Financial Credit Union as a Compliance Supervisor from March 2008 to October 2015, where they managed compliance with laws and regulations and communicated with staff at all levels. After that, they joined Direct Technology as a Project Manager from October 2015 to March 2016, where they worked collaboratively with utility companies to identify needs and implement software solutions. Currently, they are working at Origence as a Senior Integrations Analyst, starting from March 2016. Here, they are responsible for working directly with credit union partners, coordinating integration projects, and resolving complex interface issues.

Melinda Moniz began their education at Golden Sierra High School, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Melinda then went on to attend Sierra College from 2008 to 2011, where they pursued general education but did not obtain a degree. In 2014, Melinda enrolled at Western Governors University, where they completed their Bachelor of Business Management degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Melinda obtained certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In January 2016, they earned a Project+ Certification from CompTIA. In September 2013, they also completed training to become a Credit Union Compliance Expert through CUNA -- Credit Union National Association.
