Bryan Bestvater

Head of Manufacturing at Origen Hydrogen

Bryan Bestvater has a diverse and extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Bryan'smost recent position was as the Head of Manufacturing at EvolOH, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Nuvera Fuel Cells, LLC for 10 years. At Nuvera Fuel Cells, Bryan held multiple positions, including Platform Leader from October 2018 to April 2023, Senior Program Manager from January 2014 to October 2018, and Manager of Product Engineering and Design Documentation from April 2013 to January 2014. Before joining Nuvera Fuel Cells, Bryan was employed at Plug Power Inc for four years as the Director of Engineering, Program Management from August 2010 to January 2013. Bryan also served as the Lead Engineer of GenSys Mechanical Engineering from June 2006 to August 2010, where they successfully redesigned a stationary fuel cell system for the Indian market and managed a plastic manifold design program. Prior to that, Bryan worked at Emerson Industrial Automation (KVT Technologies) as a Senior Project Manager from January 2005 to June 2006, where they were responsible for project quotation, planning, and execution.

Another significant role in Bryan's work experience was at SiemensVDO Automotive. Bryan worked there for 12 years, holding various positions. Notably, they were a Senior Manufacturing Engineer from June 2003 to December 2004, managing the launch of a program in crisis and rebuilding a poorly performing welding and assembly cell. Bryan also served as a Program Leader from March 2000 to June 2003, responsible for customer and internal program activities and leading the launch of a new facility in Mexico. In addition, Bryan worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer from January 1998 to March 2000, managing equipment and tooling procurement programs and overseeing a new facility for a welded plastic intake manifold. Bryan began their career at SiemensVDO Automotive as an Assembly Program Manager.

Bryan also pursued studies in Engineering/Industrial Management at Western University but did not specifically obtain a degree in that field. In 2017, they acquired a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including a Six Sigma Green Belt from GBMP in October 2015, a P. Eng certification from Professional Engineers Ontario in November 1989, and a PMP certification from PMI MassBay Chapter in January 2018.
