Niranjan Sahoo is an accomplished professional in the fields of democracy and human rights, currently serving as the South Asia Coordinator for the Asia Democracy Research Network (ADRN) since February 2018. With extensive experience, Niranjan is also a member of the Carnegie Rising Democracies Network, engaging in debates and written discourse on South Asian issues with a network of scholars globally. Additionally, Niranjan has held the position of Senior Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation since September 2009, and previously served as an ASIA Fellow for the Ford Foundation from 2009 to 2010. Niranjan's earlier career includes a role as Associate Program Manager at the Centre for Youth and Social Development in Bhubaneswar from 2002 to 2005. Educationally, Niranjan earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Governance and Public Policy from the University of Hyderabad and a B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science and Government from Ravenshaw College.
