Cal Corbin has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Cal started their career as a Barista at Full Circle Bookstore in 2006, where they ensured smooth operation of the coffee shop and provided extensive knowledge of coffee drinks. In 2008, Cal worked as a Server at The Wedge, where they delivered accurate customer requests and maintained cleanliness of the restaurant.

Moving into the technology field, Cal worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Paycom from 2016 to 2018, focusing on rapid issue resolution and designing test case documents. Cal then transitioned to Exaptive, Inc. as a Quality Assurance Engineer from 2018 to 2019, where they engineered continuous delivery gatekeeping policies and met clients in person to deploy needed changes on site.

Cal's software engineering career started at Clevyr in 2019, where they implemented in-app payments for iOS and Android and modernized a legacy Angular app. Cal then joined Kuali, Inc. as a Customer Success Engineer from 2020 to 2021, where they designed and implemented CSE workstation servers and reduced new client data migration time.

In 2021, Cal worked at iUNU, Inc. as a Software Engineer, refactoring legacy frontend reporting tools and advocating for integration tests. Currently, they are employed at O'Reilly Media as a Software Engineer, where they have refactored deprecated React class components into functional components and written new React hooks on a front-end client.

Throughout their career, Cal has demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Cal Corbin has a strong education background. Cal earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Environmental Studies from The University of Oklahoma, attending from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Journalism from Oklahoma City Community College, studying from 2007 to 2010. Cal also received their High School Diploma from Classen SAS, where they focused on Cello from 2001 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Cal Corbin has obtained a certification in Responsive Website Basics: Code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Cal completed this certification through Coursera in January 2016.
