Boyan Angelov's work experience includes a variety of roles in the field of data and AI strategy. Boyan began in 2014 as a Data Scientist and Developer at BLOOMY DAYS GmbH, where they retrieved, analyzed, and reported on data from various sources. In 2016, they worked as a Data Scientist at myTomorrows, focusing on Natural Language Processing of clinical trials metadata. From 2017 to 2019, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at MindMatch, leading AI efforts and achieving state-of-the-art performance in NLP tasks. In 2018, they started their own consulting company, Boyan Angelov Consulting, serving as Chief Data and AI Strategist for various clients. Boyan also authored a book and provided training as an Author, Instructor, and Reviewer at O'Reilly Media from 2020 onwards. In 2021, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Visual Asset Management, overseeing technology and data strategies. Boyan Angelov also worked as a Senior Data Strategist at DAIN Studios from 2018 to 2021, managing data science and engineering projects for large enterprises. Boyan was a member of the ACM and IEEE, applying xAI methods in species distribution modeling. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Data and AI Strategy at Exxeta, where they design and delivers data strategies and leads a team.

Boyan Angelov began their education in 2008 at Jacobs University Bremen, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology in 2011. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Bremen from 2011 to 2013, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Marine Microbiology / Bioinformatics.
