Ben Albahari has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Ben co-founded Auditionist in 2013 and served as a Founder until present. Prior to that, they worked as an Author at O'Reilly Media, where they wrote the C# in a Nutshell series. Ben also worked as a Developer at Simplify Digital from 2011 to 2012, where they developed software using C#, SQL Server Analysis Services, and ASP.NET MVC. In 2008, they founded TakeOnIt, a website for comparing and tracking opinions, and coded the website using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Program Manager at Microsoft from 2001 to 2006, where they contributed to various .NET teams, including the .NET Compact Framework and ADO.NET Entity Framework. Ben also co-founded Genamics in 1999, where they designed and coded Genamics Expression, a DNA and protein sequences analysis package, and developed J++ software components that were sold to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, they worked as a Programmer at New Zealand Software Corporation from 1998 to 1999.
Ben Albahari attended the University of Waikato, where they pursued a degree in Cognitive Science with a focus on Philosophy and Computer Science.
