Meagan Bataran

Director, Development at Oregon Symphony

Meagan Bataran is the Director of Development at the Oregon Symphony. Meagan has over fifteen years of experience in development and fundraising, with a focus on annual giving and alumni relations.

Meagan began their career in development at the University of California, Irvine, where they served as the Director of Annual Giving. In this role, they were responsible for managing and strategically planning the Office of Annual and Special Gifts. Meagan then moved to the University of Southern California, where they served as the Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving for USC Viterbi School of Engineering. In this role, Meagan was responsible for increasing alumni engagement and participation in annual giving programs.

Meagan most recently served as the Director of Annual Giving at St. Mary's Academy, where they developed a donor pipeline and increased the donor base in preparation for a capital campaign. During their time at St. Mary's Academy, Meagan also devised methods to encourage new and increased gifts from college alumni, parents, and friends through personal solicitations, direct mail, email, and social media.

Meagan is a highly effective fundraiser with a proven track record of increasing giving levels at their previous institutions. Meagan is a strategic thinker who is able to identify and utilize data and trends to develop high performing prospect segments as well as meaningful projections, strategies, and goals. Meagan's experience and skills will be a valuable asset to the Oregon Symphony as they enter into their own capital campaign.

Meagan Bataran has a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University.
