Thor Waage has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Thor started their career at Rose City Radio in 2001, where they worked as an Engineer until 2010. Thor then joined Alpha Media USA, first as an Engineer from 2010 to 2013, and then as the Chief Engineer from 2013 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Engineer, Western Region at OPB since 2022.

Thor Waage attended Milwaukie High School from 1987 to 1991. After completing high school, they enrolled in Clackamas Community College, where they pursued an Associate's degree in General Studies from 1991 to 1993. Following that, they attended Mt. Hood Community College from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Radio Broadcasting. In 2013, Thor Waage obtained a certification as a Certified Broadcast Radio Engineer (CBRE) from the SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers).
