Lauren Elkanich has extensive experience in communications and public relations. Lauren is currently the Director of Communications at OPB, where they oversee external enterprise communications and serves as a media liaison and public information officer. Prior to this role, they were a Communications Manager at OPB and was responsible for managing and executing public relations and promotions for OPB and KMHD programs.

Before joining OPB, Lauren worked at CMD as an Account Supervisor, where they served as the day-to-day account lead for clients such as HP's Retail Online/Shopper Marketing organization and Ecova. Lauren provided strategic support for marketing programs and initiatives and ensured projects were executed within budget.

Lauren also has experience working at Porter Novelli, where they were an Account Supervisor and developed and executed strategic public relations programs for HP's Imaging and Printing Group. Lauren built relationships with media contacts, bloggers, and social media influencers to secure positive media placements.

In addition, Lauren worked at VTM, Inc. as an Account Executive, providing public relations support for high-technology trade association clients. Lauren assisted with building PR program infrastructure and project implementation.

Early in their career, Lauren held internships at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, MCKENZIE-WILLAMETTE MEDICAL CENTER, and March of Dimes, where they gained experience in public affairs and public relations.
