Shannon Gallagher is an intern at Oregon Physics since March 2023, where simulations of manufacturing processes have been developed using Python, Java, and COMSOL Multiphysics. Experience includes minimizing tool downtime, improving prototype manuals, and coordinating with service lab management. Prior roles at Pacific University involved significant research contributions, including restoring data collection in a cloud chamber, enhancing data quality through automation, and pioneering machine learning applications for signal analysis in optical experiments. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Optics/Optical Sciences from the University of Oregon and a bachelor's degree from Pacific University, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary research and technical problem-solving.
