Zane Zook is a Senior Research Engineer at Oregon Health & Science University since June 2023, focusing on research within the field of engineering. Prior to this, Zane served as a PhD Candidate and NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Rice University from August 2018 to June 2023, concentrating on wearable multi-sensory haptic devices. Zane also held the position of Instructor and Curriculum Developer at the University of Washington's Robinson Center from 2013 to 2018, creating robotics curricula for gifted youth. Additional experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Stanford University in the Collaborative Haptics and Robotics in Medicine Lab, and a Summer X Head Researcher and Designer at daisy*. Zane earned a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, and a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, alongside a Minor in East Asian Studies.
