Anita Ng has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Anita began their career as a Visitor Information Counselor at Tourism Vancouver in 2005, where they excelled in assisting customers and providing customized travel advice. Anita then worked as a Tobacco Reduction Communications Coordinator at Vancouver Coastal Health in 2006, independently planning events and conducting research to support smoke-free policies. In 2007, Anita joined The University of British Columbia, initially as a Research Assistant and later as an Event Coordinator and Program/Marketing Assistant. Anita played a key role in organizing events, workshops, and conferences, as well as in website redevelopment and content migration. Anita also worked at International Special Events Society (ISES) Vancouver as a VP Communications and Director, Communications from 2011 to 2012, where they managed a team and implemented various communication initiatives. Anita served as an Executive Assistant at Pod Legal in 2013 before joining Alliance Abroad Group as a Program Coordinator and Program Manager from 2013 to 2016. In 2015, Anita became a Committee Member at Melbourne Business Network (MBN). Anita then transitioned to MoneyPlace, first as a Business Manager for a brief period in 2016 and then as a Lending Specialist until 2019. Anita took a sabbatical in France and Europe from 2019 to 2020, and most recently, they joined Orbitkey in 2020 as a Regional Sales Manager.
Anita Ng's education history includes various academic achievements. In 2002, they enrolled at The University of British Columbia, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Sociology, French, and Commerce. Anita completed their undergraduate studies in 2007. Following this, from 2008 to 2010, Anita attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology, earning an Associate Certificate in Event Marketing. In 2011, they obtained a national certification in Event Coordination, known as TCP-EVC, provided by emerit. Recently, in 2023, Anita attended the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they focused on Leadership.
