Thomas Hulson is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Chief Engineer at Orbital UAV since August 2021, responsible for directing the engineering team, managing multiple programs, and leading technical roadmaps and business development. Prior roles include Design Engineering Manager, overseeing a team for UAV engine development, and Principal Engineer positions at JCB Power Systems Limited and Ricardo, where technical project leadership and mechanical development were paramount. Additional expertise includes functional project management at Bentley Motors and various engineering roles in turbo systems at Cummins and Borg Warner. Thomas holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds and has a foundation degree in Science. Early experiences include competitive engine tuning and CNC programming, reflecting a long-standing passion for engineering innovation.
