Serhat Tuncay has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Serhat started their career as a Researcher at Middle East Technical University, where they participated in various research projects. Serhat then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at iXEC GmbH, focusing on multi-agent learning and knowledge representation components. After that, they served as a Lead Software Engineer at PCK Medical Solutions, leading the development of a DICOM compatible X-ray imaging application. Later, they joined Introsolutions as a Lead Software Engineer and played a significant role in the development of a large-scale tourism and hospitality portal. Following this, they worked at AIM as an Analyst Programmer and at ioko365 as a Technical Lead, where they were responsible for designing and implementing web-based applications and content management systems. Serhat then joined Lab49 as a Principal Consultant, contributing to a wide range of projects including compliance infrastructure development, single dealer platform development, and fixed income front office development. Most recently, they are serving as a Principal Engineer at Vyne.

Serhat Tuncay holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they obtained from 2023 to 2025. Prior to that, they completed their Msc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Orta DoÄŸu Teknik Ãœniversitesi / Middle East Technical University from 1997 to 1999. Serhat also has a Bsc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the same university, which they completed from 1993 to 1997. Serhat Tuncay attended Eskisehir Fatih Fen Lisesi, although specific dates and degrees obtained are unknown. Additionally, they have received various certifications in courses such as Statistical Inference, Reproducible Research, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016.
