Derek Stabenau has over 20 years of work experience in the field of software engineering. Derek is currently employed at Orbis Technologies, Inc. as a Software Engineer. In this role, they are involved in the development and maintenance of software applications.

Previously, Derek worked at Full Spectrum Services for 12 years. During their time there, they had different roles and responsibilities. Derek started as a Senior Application Developer / Team Lead, where they were responsible for designing and developing legal documents for the Phelan Hallinan law firms. Derek utilized Java-based web applications and Apache Velocity macros to generate dynamic documents.

Later, Derek became the Senior Application Developer / Project Lead at Full Spectrum Services. In this role, they led a team of junior developers and was involved in all aspects of the application life-cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The Java EE application utilized JavaServer Faces (JSF), JSP, and a SQL Server database.

Prior to their time at Full Spectrum Services, Derek worked at Lockheed Martin as a Computer Engineer. Derek'sresponsibilities included designing and developing an audit system for the Tomahawk missile program. Derek also developed an Interface Control Document and a test plan for a satellite system's digital processor.

Throughout their career, Derek has gained experience in various technologies such as Java, SQL, Oracle, and web development. Derek has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of software development life-cycle.

Derek Stabenau began their education in 1996 at Washington University in St. Louis, where they studied Electrical Engineering until 1997. Following this, they attended Lehigh University from 1998 to 2000, majoring in Computer Science.
