Before joining Orbion, Scott was a Research Engineer in the Electric Propulsion Systems Branch at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH. While at NASA, Scott primarily worked on the Advanced Electric Propulsion System 12- kW Hall thruster, which will fly on NASA’s Gateway mission. Scott received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, where he co-developed a 100-kW Hall thruster. Scott has worked on electric propulsion systems from 100 W to 100 kW and brings his expertise in Hall thruster design and testing, plasma diagnostics, and vacuum technology to the Orbion team.
