Shankar Shome has extensive experience in the IT compliance and risk management field. Shankar started their career at Wipro in 2005 as an Assistant Manager, where they managed Infosec, risk & compliance for a large Swiss bank. Shankar then worked at Birlasoft as an Assistant Manager before joining Accenture as a Security Lead. Shankar then moved to Philips, where they held roles in IT compliance and supplier security, governance, risk & compliance. Shankar is currently the Head of Third-Party Risk Management at Orbia, leading and developing the TPRM capability across multiple sectors.

Shankar Shome holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human resources and Marketing from PGDBM. Shankar has additional certifications in Cloud Security, Third Party Risk Assessment, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditing.
