Sara Gonzalez has a diverse work experience in the library and information field. Sara is currently the Chief of Lifelong Learning at the Orange County Library System, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Branch Manager at the same organization from January 2018 to December 2022.
Before joining the Orange County Library System, Sara worked at the Seminole County Government, where they held the position of Regional Branch Manager from April 2014 to January 2018. Sara also served as an Assistant Branch Manager from May 2013 to April 2014.
Sara's earlier experience includes being a Campus Librarian at Everglades University from November 2011 to May 2013. Sara worked as a Cataloging and Acquisitions Assistant at the R.A. Williams Library at Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences from August 2010 to July 2011. Sara also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Florida State University Department of Library and Information Studies from August 2010 to May 2011.
Additionally, Sara gained valuable experience as a Photo Archivist Intern at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum from September 2008 to May 2009. Sara started their career as a Federal Relations Assistant at the University of Central Florida from May 2006 to July 2008.
Sara Gonzalez completed their education history with a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida in 2009. In 2007, Sara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida with a major in History and a minor in English Literature.
