Raya Torres is a dedicated journalism student at California State University, Long Beach, with extensive experience in various roles in the field. Currently serving as an intern at Orange Coast Magazine, Raya is responsible for fact-checking, story pitching, and writing articles. Previous roles include a Resident Assistant overseeing nearly 40 students, a student reporter for EdSource, and Vice President of Outreach for the Asian American Journalists Association at CSULB. Raya has a background in teaching as an English Second Language Tutor, has demonstrated leadership as a captain of the Assumption College Dance Troupe, and has participated in significant hip-hop dance competitions. Additionally, Raya has experience in event organization, class facilitation, and classroom administration.
