Burcin Kaplanoglu, PhD, serves as Vice President of Innovation at Oracle Industry Lab since August 2017, leading global initiatives across multiple industries focusing on artificial intelligence, productivity, and sustainability. Previous roles at Oracle include Executive Director of Innovation for both Vertical Industries and Construction and Engineering, where Burcin was a co-founder of the Oracle Industries Innovation Lab. Burcin has held various leadership positions in the construction sector, including Vice President of Telecommunications at Lendlease and Senior Project Manager for significant projects. Additionally, Burcin contributes to academia as Chair of the Board Committee for the AI Institute at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and as a former Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University. Burcin's educational background includes a PhD in Construction Engineering and Management from Illinois Institute of Technology, along with advanced degrees from Istanbul University.
