Donny Baird's work experience includes serving as the Vice President of Finance at Opus Packaging starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they held the roles of Director of Finance, Controller, and Assistant Controller at the same company. In 2014, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Brickley Delong P.C., where they handled tax returns, supervised audits, prepared financial statements, and maintained client records. Before that, they worked as a General Accountant at Boyne Machine Company in 2012 and as a General Manager at Pines Sports Bar and Bowling Center earlier that same year.

Donny Baird attended Grand Valley State University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting. Donny further pursued their education at the same institution from 2012 to 2014, completing a Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) degree with a focus on Accounting.
