Dan Brooks serves as the Vice President of Finance at Optomec, beginning in July 2024. Prior to this role, Dan held various positions at Sun Mountain Capital from May 2013 to June 2024, including Principal, Senior Associate, Associate, and Private Equity Analyst, contributing to the firm’s expertise in managing private equity and debt programs across the United States and Mexico. Dan's earlier experience includes serving as an Executive Budget Analyst for the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration from November 2012 to May 2013, where responsibilities involved budget development for government agencies and legislative analysis. Dan began the career as an intern at Sun Mountain Capital in 2012. Dan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the UNM Anderson School of Management, completed in 2012.
