Pankaj Dhingra has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Pankaj is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Optofluidic Bioassay LLC since February 2021. Prior to this, Pankaj held various positions at Nissan Motor Corporation from 2013 to 2019, including Finance Director for Nissan Digital and General Manager for Battery and ZEV business units. During their time at Nissan, they played a key role in digitally transforming the company's business model and processes, establishing a software development hub in India, and integrating business benefits from Nissan Digital projects into financials, forecasts, and budgets. Pankaj also spearheaded global mergers and acquisitions, leading transactions such as the sale of Nissan's battery business and the formation of joint ventures and partnerships with various companies. Before joining Nissan, Pankaj worked at Augment Ventures as a Venture Partner from 2012 to 2013. Pankaj also served as President & CEO of Nanostellar, Inc. from 2005 to 2012, where they contributed to the development and commercialization of products. Prior to that, Pankaj was the President of Ener1, where they focused on Li-ion battery and fuel-cell development and successfully merged Ener1 and Delphi teams. Pankaj started their career at Delphi Corporation in 1999, holding roles such as Business Unit P&L Executive and Assistant Finance Director. During their time at Delphi, they turned around a $650M annual revenue business, expanded operations internationally, and served as a board member at battery joint-ventures. Earlier in their career, Pankaj worked at General Motors International Ops., General Motors Corporation - New York Treasurer's Office, Unisys Corporation, and Tata Burroughs Limited in various roles. Overall, Pankaj has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial management, digital transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and commercialization of products.
Pankaj Dhingra began their education in 1976 when they attended BITS Pilani in India. Pankaj pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and completed their studies in 1981. After gaining experience in the field, they furthered their education at Columbia Business School - Columbia University in New York. From 1991 to 1993, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Finance and Marketing.
