Shaun Brodie's work experience begins in 1985 as a Computer Lab Technician at General Dynamics NASSCO-Norfolk. From 1987 to 1989, they worked as a Mechanical Designer and Quality Assurance Technician at TEAL Electronics Corporation, where they designed and drafted mechanical and electrical assemblies and created user guide documentation. From 1989 to 1993, Shaun worked at CR Technology as a Mechanical Engineer and Manufacturing Supervisor, where they designed and calibrated automated test systems and supervised manufacturing personnel. Following this, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Ziehm Imaging / International Medical Systems from 1993 to 1998, calibrating and repairing fluoroscopic medical equipment and providing technical support to healthcare facilities. Since 1998, Shaun has been working at Opto 22 as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, certifying the functionality of automation control and data acquisition/distribution software. Shaun utilizes both automated testing software and manual techniques for in-house testing.

Shaun Brodie obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Technical and Scientific Illustration from Cuyamaca College, where they studied from 1984 to 1986. Subsequently, they pursued another Associate of Science (A.S.) degree, this time in Electronics Technology, from Cuyamaca College, completing their studies from 1986 to 1988.
