Alec Baum, CFA has a diverse work experience in various companies. Alec is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Optionality since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Portfolio Strategist at Fairman Group Family Office from January 2020 to February 2021, where they provided integrated financial services including tax planning, investment advice, and estate planning. Alec also served as an Associate at GMH Ventures from February 2017 to January 2020. Previously, they worked as an Operations Analyst at Susquehanna International Group, LLP (SIG) from August 2014 to February 2017. Their career began as a Consulting Intern at CohnReznick LLP from May 2011 to August 2013, where they contributed to the development and submission of tax credit applications.

Alec Baum, CFA, is currently an MBA candidate at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business, starting in 2019 and expected to graduate in 2022. Prior to pursuing their MBA, Alec obtained a degree in Finance from La Salle University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2014.

In addition to their academic background, Alec has acquired several certifications. Alec obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder designation from the CFA Institute in August 2017. Furthermore, Alec has obtained various certifications from FINRA, including Series 63, Series 4, Series 24, and Series 7 in 2021, with each certification obtained in different months throughout the year.
