Stephen King

Sr. Director IT at Optinose

Stephen King has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Stephen started their career as an Information System Specialist and Mechanical Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center in 1992. Stephen then worked as a Project Manager at Stryker Osteonics, where they led the implementation of a custom MRP system and managed packaging cell renovations.

In 1998, they joined TAVA Technologies as a Product Manager and Technical Operations Manager, where they were responsible for sales support and the development of support services for CMMS software. Stephen later moved to VerticalNet as a Project Manager, where they managed the integration of electronic clearinghouse into storefronts and partner sites.

In 2002, King became the Manager of Business Intelligence at Centocor, Johnson & Johnson, where they led a team and managed the delivery of an analytics framework. Stephen then joined HealthTronics IT Solutions (a div of Endo Healthcare Solutions) in 2007, initially as the Director of IM Business Intelligence and later as the Director of Data Solutions. In these roles, they established Endo's technology Center of Excellence and delivered data warehousing, reporting and analytics, and EDI platforms.

In 2014, King joined Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Associate Director of Shared Data Services. Stephen then moved on to AmerisourceBergen as the Director of BI Services. In their most recent role at Optinose, they have served as the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics before transitioning to the Senior Director of IT in January 2023.

Stephen King obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business Administration from Drexel University, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration in Information Management from Widener University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1997. In 2004 to 2006, Stephen King attended the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University to attain a Post MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing. Lastly, in 2010, they participated in The Wharton Program for Biotech and Pharmaceutical Executives at The Wharton School, earning a certificate in that program.
