Stefan Dorn has a diverse and extensive work history in the cybersecurity field. Stefan currently serves as the CEO and Chief Hacking Officer at Optimize Cyber since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Offensive Security at a consulting firm from June 2021 to January 2022. From September 2019 to July 2021, they held the position of Director of Security Services at Evolve Security. Before that, they founded their own cybersecurity company, DORN Cybersecurity, where they worked as a Founder and Security Consultant from December 2018 to September 2019. Stefan also gained valuable experience at FRSecure LLC, where they held various roles including Director of Technical Services, Senior Security Consultant, and Security Analyst from November 2015 to December 2018. Additionally, they briefly served as the President/Owner of DORN Security and Technology in 2015. Stefan's earlier career includes positions such as Director of Information Technology at Citizens Independent Bank from July 2013 to April 2015, Systems Support Supervisor and Associate Systems Technician at Polaris Industries from January 2008 to July 2013, and Systems Support Specialist at Citizens Independent Bank from January 2003 to January 2008. Throughout their career, Stefan has demonstrated a strong commitment to cybersecurity and has taken on various leadership roles in the industry.

Stefan Dorn obtained a B.S degree in Information Assurance and Security from Capella University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Dunwoody College of Technology from 2003 to 2005 and earned an A.A.S degree in Computer Networking. In addition to their formal education, Stefan has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Stefan obtained their Certified Red Team Operator certification from Zero-Point Security Ltd in May 2021. In November 2017, they earned the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security and became a member of the GIAC Advisory Board by Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC). Stefan also holds certifications in Information Assurance & Security from Capella University (obtained in July 2016), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² (obtained in June 2015), and various CNSS certifications related to information systems security. Additionally, Stefan has certifications in Network+ and A+ from CompTIA earned in 2004, and a GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) obtained in May 2017.
