Shane Whitlock has had diverse work experience in the software development and engineering field. Shane is currently employed at Optilogic as a Software Developer since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at USAA, starting as a Software Developer and Integrator III from September 2018 to September 2020, then progressing to the role of Software Engineer II from September 2020 to October 2021, and finally as Software Engineer I from October 2021 to December 2021. Before joining USAA, they worked at XenoPro as a Software Developer from November 2017 to September 2018. Shane also has experience at Mozenda, where they held various roles including Product Support Specialist from January 2016 to November 2016, Training Consultant from November 2016 to May 2017, and Software Engineer from May 2017 to October 2017.

Shane Whitlock completed their high school education at Juab High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Afterward, they attended Southern Utah University from 2012 to 2013 and earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business. Continuing their education, Shane studied at Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business from 2016 to 2017, focusing on Management Information Systems and obtaining a degree in Management Information Systems.
