David Cardin is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in developing firmware and software solutions across various industries, including defense and lighting. Currently employed at Optics 1 since March 2023, David previously held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Ascent AeroSystems, where camera device drivers and UAV system control software were developed. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer positions at Aerotek, L3 Technologies, and Philips Lighting, focusing on radar systems, military night vision goggles, and energy-efficient LED lighting firmware, respectively. David also contributed to firmware design at DTC Communications and held key engineering roles at BigBand Networks and Sun Microsystems, specializing in surveillance, RF communications, and networking software. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and an Associate's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NHTI.
